Ezy Reading:
The 150th Issue of The Cud
Evan Kanarakis

Greetings and welcome to a to a bumper 150th issue of The Cud!

Seriously though- weren’t we just celebrating the 100th issue of The Cud?

Time has undeniably flown by and we’re officially 150 issues into our little website, well on the way to celebrating our 14th birthday in November later this year.

Searching through the Cud archives to select some of the most notable articles we’ve published over the years, I have to admit I was surprised at just how rich and diverse the content we’ve featured is. We've been fortunate to come into contact with so many talented, generous contributors and owe them all a huge debt of gratitude for their extraordinary work. In 2019 we’re working towards publishing a book of our favorite essays of the past 15 years, and compling this issue helped has helped kick off what will be an engaging, exciting process.

This month we are proud to present special '150th issue' columns from two of our regulars, David M. Fitzpatrick and Lazy Eye, as well as new photo essays from Horatio O'Shea and Tom Chesson. As mentioned, we have also dipped into the past to republish some of our most popular articles, and were struck by just how much of the subject matter –and perspectives- have successfully stood up to the test of time. We certainly hope you'll enjoy reading these pieces spanning our 149 previous issues and, as ever, thank you for your ongoing support and interest in The Cud. We remain committed to 'entertain a new perspective: Chew The Cud' and can't wait to see what lies ahead!

Thank you, ye Cudlings- happy reading!
