Having been surrounded in my Sydney neighborhood by talented street artists, and living in such a creative culture that supported graffiti, it was a rude awakening to return to the brick and concrete of historic Boston a few years ago, where proper street art is forbidden, and therefore hard to find. Though Cambridge is not much better, this particular alley is a safe haven for artists, and since the space is small, it changes daily, with any combination of "real" art, paperings, sculpture artists, and plain old taggers. All of these were taken in a single morning, and I'm sure it will all be gone tomorrow.
