On a recent visit to Iceland, I'd had no intention of visiting its capital, since the aim of the trip was to disappear into nature, but with rain pouring down on my last day, a change of plans from hiking was required. The boldness and color of the city's street art is in stark contrast to the quiet empty landscapes by which I was surrounded for the previous eight days, and reflected the humor and creativity of the Icelanders I'd met in that brief time.
