Looking Back: |
These fools, they have no clue
I've been waiting
All my life
Just for a chance
But now they'll steal this
I'm wonderin' if they know
Just what the hell
It means
To try and believe
Oh how I'm reeling
These masses- a menace
Drown us out
Your voice
Becomes a whisper
And now I'm slipping
They never earned this
Never staked a claim
So where?
Where do I go?
And now who saves me?
They push me, pull me
I'm spent
Bitter pill, this one
Clinging to a promise
That now we'll never see
I guess this is what they call
'Enlightened'
Here's my truth:
I'm undone
And now I'll never mend
