Ezy Reading: A Rebranding of the GOP?
The quest for political survival makes whores of everyone, and we should be wary of 'Republicans in sheep's clothing'.

Mr. Kanarakis is correct that there is a 'natural center' around which both of America's political parties have traditionally held common currency. But perhaps America is now so deeply entrenched as a nation of the 'haves' and 'have nots' that those wealthy few who can effectively afford election victories will never need Republicans to shift back to any sort of 'true middle' again, because the White House will be theirs in the years ahead. They can afford to buy that most powerful boot over the rest of America's citizenry.
